FAQ:  How St. Petersburg Bail Bonds Can Help You

If you think you’re going to be arrested or a loved one is already in jail, St. Petersburg bail bondsman can get you or your loved one out of jail, if the judge orders bail.  We understand that you’re likely scared, highly stressed, and uncertain of the future.  Our goal is to get you safe, and home to your family, as soon as possible; don’t try to go it alone.  Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions.  Your next step is to call a St. Petersburg bail bonds agent.  We are ready to help 24/7/365.

Can’t I Just Get My Husband Out of Jail Myself?
There are two reasons why it may not be in your best interest to try to get your husband, or other loved one, out of jail yourself.

  1. You may have to pay the full bail, not 10%.  Would you rather pay $1,000 or $10,000?
  2. Dealing with making bail will likely increase your stress and you’ll have to go to the police station.

What Do You Mean “Full Bail”?
When you hire our St. Petersburg bail bondsman, you only have to put down 10% of the total bail.  We take care of the rest, meaning we put down 100% of the bail, on your behalf.

For example, if bail is set at $10,000 and you try to bail your loved one out of jail, you’ll have to put down $10,000.  If you hire a St. Petersburg bail bond agent, you just have to come up with 10%, which is $1,000.

For most of our clients, there’s a big difference between paying $10,000 and paying $1,000.

What if My Brother’s Bail is $50,000?
If your brother’s bail is set at $50,000, you would hire a bondsman, paying $5,000.  We would then pay the $50,000 on your behalf and your brother would be released from jail.  He could then go home to his family.

Do I Get My Money Back?
The 10% you pay to St. Petersburg bail bondsman is payment for their services, including the risk that they take putting up 100% of the bail.

If your loved one doesn’t show up for his or her court date, the court takes the bondsman’s money, not yours.

For example, if bail is set at $15,000, you pay $1,500 for the services of the bondsman.  Then, the bondsman does all of the paper work, puts up the $15,000, and gets your loved one out of jail.  If your loved one doesn’t show up for his or her court date, the court keeps the $15,000.
